Our primary area's cover Bayfield, Ashland and North Western Iron County. For our best and highest success rates on trophy black bear - apply for Zone D or A. We specialize in black bear hunts with archery, rifle, or muzzleloader's. The bait station locations are all in natural travel corridors, excellent set-ups and established baits. We provide a full service outfitted bear hunt from the time you arrive at camp til the time you head home with your trophy!

About Our Zone D & A Black Bear Hunts (six Day Trophy Black Bear)

Included w/Hunt Meals & Lodging at our main camp, pre-baited very active bait stations, stands are set up and ready, bear retrieval, skinning, quartering, all transportation to and from hunting areas while in camp.
Draw Hunt This is a draw hunt, and the application deadline is the Friday nearest December 10th each year. We provide Licensing Services
Bear Quality Northwestern Wisconsin is a leader in Boone & Crockett Black Bears as well as Pope & Young. Pelt quality is excellent especially in the later hunts.
Bear Quantity EXCELLENT! Our hunters report seeing 15 to 25 bears in a 6 day hunt per hunter. 5 to 8 Bear per square mile Zone D
Success Ratio 95% to 100%. If you do not take a bear, it is because you passed up opportunities. Over the last ten years, most of the top bears in Boone & Crockett have been from Northwestern Wisconsin.
Terrain Mostly flat, big woods, fresh logging jobs and second growth timber. Large ravines and river bottoms. Temperatures range from 35F to 80F.
Hunting Methods Hunting over bait stations. Mostly tree stands, but we can also accommodate a ground blind hunter. Your guide will deliver you to your bait station and pick you up after your afternoon hunt. Bait stations are pre-baited and very active.
Accommodations Base camp located in farm fringe area. Farmhouse, lodge, satellite T.V., pool table, outdoor 3-D targets and home cooked meals. Professional skinning, caping, & quartering.
